Sonya Mead is an independent interaction designer with more than 15 years of experience solving design needs for a variety of clients and studios. She has designed for print, broadcast, product interfaces, motion, app, web and interaction design. Her work has been published in a number of books and publications and awards include IDSA Gold, ID Bronze, W3 Silver and MIMC recognition. She has juried, lectured or taught at Art Institute of Boston, Yale University, Rhode Island School of Design, and Ringling School of Art.

She works both independently or in-house and loves to collaborate with teams across various disciplines to arrive at the best design solution. She has managed teams and projects and enjoys working on the big picture (research, strategy, vision, planning, etc.) as well as focusing on the details and delivery. Her approach is user-centered and she strives to encourage creativity and innovation while working with the given constraints of any project.
